Storage Cabinet Systems for Safety Padlocks and Keys
Storage Cabinet Systems for Safety Padlocks and Keys
Storing safety padlocks, lockout hasps and lockout devices in an organised and secure way is essential for maintaining a safe working environment. A dedicated storage system prevents lost equipment, improves response time during isolations and ensures only authorised personnel can access critical lockout devices. Below are two effective options for managing safety padlocks and keys on site.
Masterlock Lockout Station
The Masterlock Lockout Station provides a centralised storage point for safety padlocks and lockout equipment. It is made from heat-resistant and durable Xenoy alloy, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
The station has eight hanger clips, each capable of holding two padlocks or hasps, and is deep enough to accommodate large lockout devices such as plug lockouts. Additional peg hooks can be fitted using the pre-drilled holes to store larger components if required.
The station is supplied unfilled, allowing you to choose your own lockout equipment. The lockable cover enables access to be restricted to authorised personnel. Custom configurations can also be supplied where larger or more complex layouts are required.
Securikey Padlock Cabinet
For sites that need a full padlock and key management system, the Securikey Padlock Cabinet provides a secure and organised storage solution. It is available in three sizes, holding between 24 and 100 padlocks and their associated keys.
Each hook is designed to take a 50mm padlock and an individually numbered key ring. The cabinet is supplied unfilled so you can create a configuration that fits your exact lockout procedure. A log sheet can be maintained to track where each padlock is currently in use.
The cabinet is secured using a high-security cam lock with over 200,000 differs as standard. Alternative locking mechanisms can be supplied if required.
Although intended for lockout procedures in industrial and electrical environments, the cabinet is equally suitable for schools, local authorities and businesses that require a controlled key and padlock storage system.
Securikey Key Cabinets
Where a larger number of keys need to be managed, Securikey key cabinets provide a structured and secure storage method. Manufactured from 1.5mm pressed and folded steel and secured with an anti-pick lock, these cabinets are built for both durability and operational control.
Depending on the model, they can hold between 30 and 100 keys. Each cabinet includes a removable key system sheet for logging key allocation and colour-coded key hook groups in batches of ten for simple identification.
