Not sure what to search for? Why not try our new advanced search?
Rather than just display every one of our huge range of products, we have given you number of questions to complete. If you are unsure of any then simply skip to the next.
We offer most of our locks in four types. Combination, keyed alike, keyed different and master keyed. If you're unsure which answer to choose then please read our advice section first.
A marine grade lock is made from 100% stainless or non-corrosive parts which means it is suitable for every condition including salt water. A lock suitable for outdoors will be designed to resist weather for a number of years and will use a stainless mechanism but may discolour over time. Those made for indoor use only should not be exposed to moisture.
Padlocks are designed in various ways to give greater security or greater flexibility. For further advice on the matter please see our padlock type advice Section. If you are unsure just select "I don't mind".
Low security locks are generally used as deterrent and ideal for things like lockers and bags. Medium security locks are good for tool boxes, sheds and internal doors. High security locks are designed to resist direct attacks from saws and bolt cutters. The ultra high security padlocks are the best available and often have special insurance approval ratings such as CEN, BS EN12320 or SoldSecure.
CEN is a grading system that many insurance companies rely on. Most will ask for grade 3, 4 or 5. We have more information on insurance rating systems in the technical advice section.
