About this padlock:
This is basically the longest shackle padlock on the market. It was originally designed to secure oil tanks that notoriously have a large distances between the holes that secure the lid. On top of that, a padlock so long would be quite insecure. As such Masterlock made this beast. It reaches around 195mm in total but uses a massive 15mm shackle to help protect against people trying to cut it off.
Given that the lock is so big, we have had customers use it to lock gates without the need for a chain. We would tend not to advise this but in a low / medium security situation it would be fine.
A couple of unique features are that the shackle is removable completely and the body is black vinyl covered to help protect against sparking or corrosion.
Sizes & keying options:
This lock only comes in one size and is off the shelf so it cannot be made to be keyed alike. It comes with two keys.
