Important notes:

  • 1. A recorded master-key order must be of 10 units or more
  • 2. A recorded master-key order can take between 5-8 working days to deliver
  • 3. Each padlock comes with 2 keys but you do need to order your individual "master keys" separately

Overview:

The ABUS 65 series padlock is a premium model using a double bolted locking mechanism and an anti-pick barrel. The padlock contains a non-corrosive internal mechanism and is therefore suitable for normal outdoor use.

The term "Recorded" means that we make up these padlocks from scratch and each set has its own pinning chart which ensures no two padlocks within the set are the same. This also means that you can add to the set in the future and replace any individual padlock or key.

We're able to do this by engraving each and every lock within the set, something that very few providers will do and something we include within the price.

Note that the 30mm padlocks use less pins than the larger sizes and therefore after 200 units duplicates will occur. However, 40, 50 and 60mm padlocks can be in sets of 550 before any duplication will occur.

Will I be able to add to my set in the future?
Yes. We keep a record of the set configurations and so if you wish to purchase additional padlocks to suit your unique master key set in the future then that is no problem.

Sizes:
We offer three sizes in our master key range padlock. 30mm, 40mm and 50mm. Your choice of padlock size depends on the application but you can click the image above for specific measurement. Remember to make sure the shackle will fit through your bolt or staple!

Uses & Applications:
Master key sets are used in a number of situations but ideal for securing units for hire when an administrator or site manager may require access at any time. Remember that it is important to keep the master-key safe. If a copy is misplaced it can compromise the whole set and you may consider one of our key garages as added security for your master-keys.
