Shield Long Shackle Brass Padlock

The Shield Long Shackle Brass Padlock range offers practical, everyday security with the added reach of an extended shackle. This makes them ideal where extra clearance is needed, for example, securing gates, lockers, toolboxes, or fittings that standard padlocks cannot reach.

These locks use the same high-quality brass body, anti-pick mechanism, and hardened steel shackle as the standard Shield brass range, but with longer vertical access. All three sizes (30mm, 40mm, and 50mm) use the same design, with increasing strength and shackle diameter as you move up the range.

Keyed alike versions can be matched to their short-shackle equivalents, allowing you to build mixed sets that all operate from the same key.

Shield padlocks offer good differ counts for general use:

• 30mm - approx. 75 differs
  

• 40mm - approx. 200 differs
  

This is suitable for most homes, workplaces and small-scale locker setups.
However, schools using large numbers of identical padlocks should consider ABUS alternatives, which offer 250+ differs per size, reducing the risk of duplicate keys within a single site.
