Standard Alarm Padlock

The APC LK-333 is a versatile, entry-level alarm padlock that provides both physical security and an audible deterrent. While not a high-security padlock, it offers solid construction with a 2mm steel body, an 8mm shackle, a brass pin tumbler cylinder, and weather gaskets, making it a reliable general-purpose option.

Its built-in alarm can be switched on or off, giving flexibility in environments where wind or accidental knocks may trigger unwanted alerts. When used with the alarm active, the padlock emits a loud alarm designed to deter opportunists and quickly draw attention.

How the Alarm Works

• Lock can operate with alarm on or alarm off
  

• After locking with the alarm activated, the system arms itself in 15 seconds
  

• A movement sensor checks for repeated movement:
  

• 1 movement within 5 seconds = warning beeps

• 2+ movements within 5 seconds = alarm sounds
  

• This system significantly reduces false alarms from wind or vibration
  

Weather Resistance

The electronics are weather-resistant, but the lock should not be left outdoors in constant rain for long periods. Ideal use is under a canopy, gate frame, porch cover, or other sheltered location.

For full marine-grade weatherproofing, a dedicated alarm lock such as Xena is recommended.
