We are often asked for an outdoor combination padlock that can also be opened with a key. Currently, the combination padlocks with override keys are generally made for use indoors. A very handy solution to this dilemma is to have a keyed padlock and use a combination lockbox to store the key.

This allows you to give permanent key holders access to the padlock with their key and on the occasions when you need to give someone else access, then you can simply give them the combination code to the lockbox to obtain the key. We would suggest you have a restricted key padlock with this setup so that any visitors that use the emergency key are not able to make key copies.
